Love My Stash Sweater

$8.00

For this sweater I wanted to design something simple and fun to knit and wear. I realized that in my hand knit wardrobe I didn’t have a lot of “daily drivers”, as much as I love a color work sweater, I don’t always feel like wearing one….I wanted to design a sweater that just felt like a comfy sweatshirt that I could wear anytime, and here it is!

Yarn

Fingering Weight Yarn approximately 740 (820, 890, 1020) (1100, 1200, 1280) 1400 yards

Fingering Weight Yarn approximately 740 (820, 890, 1020) (1100, 1200, 1280) 1400 yards

*Note: Yarn is held double, so you will need the estimated yardage of EACH yarn.

You could ALSO try this sweater with the approximate same yardage estimates with:
*A strand of DK + Mohair held double

*A strand of Aran or heavy worsted weight held single —for this version you would only need approximately 740 (820, 890, 1020) (1100, 1200, 1280) 1400 yards

*Get Creative with your stash! Try stripes or marling, hold 2 different yarn weights together and see what magic will happen!

Notes

This simple raglan pullover is worked from the top down. Stitches are cast on for the back and the beginning of the sweater is worked flat to shape the shoulders, then stitches are cast on for the front neck and joined in the round for the remainder of the sweater. The sleeve stitches are put on hold and then picked up and finished after the body is complete. This cozy sweater can be worn with 0-8”positive ease. Shown in size 3 with 7” positive ease.

The body of the sweater is cast on and worked with the largest size needles. The hem and sleeve cuffs are worked with the smallest, the collar is worked with the middle size, with a slight overlapping flap for a cute little button or two!
