Crunchy Crop

$8.00

I love the simple magic of a knit and purl stitch. This little crop cleverly combines these two stitches to create a wonderful textured panel that just pops. This versatile piece is a great addition to any hand made wardrobe.

Finished Measurements

Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)

Finished bust/body circumference: 86.7 (92, 102.6, 111.5, 120.35, 132.74, 143.36, 152.2) cm / 34 (36.2, 40.4, 44, 47.38, 52.25, 56.44, 60)”

Recommended to be worn with 2/4” of -/+ ease at the bust.

*To find the size you want to knit, measure your bust, and decide how much ease you want to have, then knit the size that has a finished measurement closest to your desired ease.

*NOTE: The textured panel on the front of this sweater looks BEST when aggressively blocked VERTICALLY, so when choosing a size, be mindful of allowing yourself enough ease for the front to lay un-stretched horizontally.

Gauge

23 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” knit flat, in stockinette stitch, on larger needle, after blocking

Notes

This sweater is worked from the bottom up in the round. The front and back are separated at the arm holes, and worked flat.  Short rows are worked to shape the shoulders before stitches are put on hold to be seamed using three needle bind off method. The collar and sleeves are picked up and worked in the round.

Note, if you printed this in black and white, the box around the repeat in Chart A might not be as noticeable, so when working Chart A, you will repeat columns 8-19 once.

NOTE ON THE CHARTS:
When working in the round, ALL ROWS OF THE CHART will be worked right to left. When working flat (after separating for the front and back) you will work the rows of the chart from right to left for the RS rows, and left to right for the WS rows.

Pattern includes schematic.
